Reporting a wrong timing

This is the message we most want. If a tithi, a boundary time or a festival marker here disagrees with your family panchang, send the city, the date and what your almanac says. Most disagreements turn out to be one of three things and all three are worth knowing about: a different ayanamsa (the Lahiri value we use against a Raman or KP one), a different month convention (amanta against purnimanta, which changes a name but never a tithi), or a genuine mistake on our side. We will tell you which, and if it is the third we will fix it and say so.

Requesting a city

The site currently computes a fixed set of Indian cities. Adding one is a matter of coordinates rather than effort, so if the city you need is missing, ask — include the place name and, if you can, its district, because several Indian towns share a name and a few degrees of longitude is a real difference in these timings.

Who you are writing to

Aaj Ka Panchang is written and maintained by Savan Vyas, who also builds the astrology engine behind the computations. There is no support queue and no ticket number; replies are slower than a company's and come from the person who wrote the page. Press, corrections policy and reuse

Corrections are published silently on the next nightly rebuild, because the pages are regenerated daily and a correction to a rule propagates to every city at once. If you want to quote a timing, quote it with the city and the date attached — a panchang figure without a place is not a fact, and that is the whole argument of this site.
